It is getting embarrassingly easy to score points off Blair's New Labour sleaze merchants so Little Nicky Machiavelli, in the interests of balanced blogging will deliver an expose of Tory hypocrisy. It has to be said that we are soft pedalling on the Lib Dems here as their leader, The Evil Emperor Ming, appears to have found his teeth, (they were in a glass of water on the bathroom window sill all the time.)
The story that has inflated The Boy David's bullshit factor is his much publicised plan to jump on the micro generation bandwagon by installing entry - level wind turbines chez Cameron.
We did the maths on this and can tell you that if the generators run at optimum efficiency for the whole of their anticipated working life the carbon-free electricity they generate will not offset the pollution created in their manufacture.
Nice one Dave, you nearly had us there.

Cameron's Mighty Wind
More Than Coincidence
Maybe its just that Little Nicky Machiavelli has a nasty suspicious mind but it seemed rather convenient that the foiling by security services of the latest terrorist outrage, a plan to stage the horrible and scary ritual execution of a kidnap victim live on the internet, happened on the self same day that the cash for honours crisis deepened for the government when it became clear that we were no longer looking at bungs, but rather at a Watergate style conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
Thus the story of Tony Blair's being questioned for a second time by police was relegated to slot two on the news bulletins.
It will be interesting to see if any trials actually result from these arrests once John Reid's attempts to keep the suspects banged up indefinitely without their being charged with anything, or if the whole matter will be quietly forgotten once the urgent need to bury bad news has passed.
