The self styled "Progressive Left," the most regressive and authoritarian faction of the Labour party may scream in outrage when polls predict a million or more people will vote BNP but if the main parties will not talk about the issues that concern the public, if they want to treat the electorate like small children who cannot be trusted to make up their own minds on sensitive issues, if they refuse to recognise that politicians serve the voters rather than vice versa what else do they expect to happen.
